Affiliate Partners are valued members of the Georgia World War II Heritage Trail, representing museums, historic sites, and community organizations across the state that share a commitment to preserving Georgia’s World War II legacy. Together, Trail Partners and Affiliate Partners help tell the thousands of stories that define Georgia’s role in World War II, ensuring that the people, places, and lessons of this pivotal era remain accessible, relevant, and remembered statewide.

The Georgia World War II Heritage Trail Affiliate Partner Program extends the Trail’s mission beyond its founding museums to recognize and connect additional sites across the state that preserve and interpret Georgia’s World War II legacy.

From shipyards and training fields to hometown stories of service and sacrifice, World War II touched every corner of Georgia. The Affiliate Partner Program invites museums, historic sites, and community organizations with a clear connection to Georgia’s WWII story to join a growing statewide network dedicated to preserving, sharing, and strengthening these stories for future generations.

Affiliate Partners are featured on the Georgia WWII Heritage Trail website and may be highlighted through Trail social media and the statewide events calendar—helping visitors discover meaningful WWII-related experiences throughout Georgia. While Affiliate Partners do not participate in Trail governance, they gain visibility, connection to Trail Partners, and opportunities to learn from peer institutions committed to honoring the Greatest Generation.
