June 1, 2025 – The Museum of Aviation commemorated D-Day May 31st with a WWII Living History Day featuring Kelly’s Zero’s, an all-volunteer historical reenacting organization.  Kelly’s Zeroes, one of the largest reenacting organizations in Georgia, showcased weapons, uniforms, and equipment utilized during the invasion and throughout World War II.  The group also provided a variety of displays and presentations about the men and women that helped make the invasion a success.

The B-17G Flying Fortress was available for viewing in the Scott Hangar – Building 3.  The aircraft restoration team was on hand to answer questions about the meticulous, muti-year restoration project.
