Bombardier School: Hands-On WWII Experience

Step into the shoes of a World War II bombardier in this interactive educational experience. Led by Dr. Tim Moore, one of the nation’s foremost experts on the Norden Bombsight, participants will use authentic WWII equipment to plot flight paths and practice precision targeting. Designed for both students and adults, Bombardier School offers a rare opportunity to learn the science and split-second decision-making behind the air campaign that defined the Eighth Air Force

Author Talk: Jean Allen – William Davis Allen: Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, 2nd Lt., American Navigator

Author Jean Allen shares the remarkable story of her uncle, 2nd Lt. William D. Allen, a navigator with the 306th Bombardment Group who was shot down over France in 1944. Drawing from personal letters and historical records, Allen recounts the bravery of the young airmen and the civilians who risked their lives to aid them. Warbird RC Fly-In: Soar into History

Aviation fans of all ages can take to the skies—virtually—at the Warbird RC Fly-In, presented by the Eighth Air Force Historical Society – Birthplace Chapter and Tri-County RC Flyers. The event features aerobatic demonstrations, hands-on flight experiences, and a WWII artifact exhibit from the Mighty Eighth Museum. Guests can enjoy food, raffles, and family-friendly fun while supporting the museum’s mission to preserve and share the legacy of the Eighth Air Force
