Remembering Pedro 23: Combat Rescue in Action

May 15 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

In May 2025, tail number 6238 took her final flight with members of the 920th Rescue Wing from Patrick Space Force Base. The Museum of Aviation and RAFB welcomed the arrival and induction of a historic HH-60G Pave Hawk to our collection. This amazing aircraft has roughly 30 years of global experience in the Middle East, Africa, and also, the United States during Hurricane Katrina. Join us as we highlight the relevance of the Pave Hawk mission at RAFB. We will also learn how one 920th mission played out in a real-world combat search and rescue story from a 2011 deployment in Afghanistan.
